Surgery day

Gene and I got up at 4:30 this morning to take Andrew for tubes. We had to be there at 5:45 but left here around 5:20. Andrew was his usual chipper self even with us having to wake him up so early. He laughed and flirted with all the nurses there. The doctor was running late as usual (I don't get how you can be running late at 6:30 in the morning). Anyway, they took him back around 7:15 and he was back about 7:45 or so. All went well. They cleaned out his ears. Both were bad and the doctor said the left eardrum was about to burst. Thank goodness we got this taken care of when we did.

Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a new Andrew! He's always been so happy and jolly and that's when he's feeling just terrible even post-surgery (see below). I can't imagine how he's going to be now!
