More party pics

Here are a few more pictures from the party!

Andrew had a great time too riding in the cozy coupe. Luckily, we have one at home so we'll be bringing that out soon for him.
Everyone's yelling Happy Birthday! Austin was a little bit shy standing in front of everyone. He got really quiet.

Austin, Mrs. Michelle and Grace had a good time inside this one!
Erin, Gabby, Austin, and Eli loved sitting on the big, inflatable throne!
Ella's looking at Austin and thinking "what is he doing?" He loves chocolate ice cream!

Austin's birthday party

Since Austin's turning 5 years old this year, we decided to have his birthday party at Pump It Up so he could invite his friends. We had the party yesterday and it was wild. Everyone, including the adults, had a good time. The best part? I didn't have to clean like a mad woman before or after the party!

Most of the pictures I took were of Austin's back or the back of his head. He couldn't stop long enough for me to take his picture!

Sippy cup action

Andrew's gotten better at using the sippy cup. He's actually drinking from it and holding it by himself.

Brotherly love

Here are a few pictures of the boys together in recent weeks.
Andrew loves this maraca that Tia gave him over the summer. And this is one rare occassion that Austin's not making a silly face!
Don't you just love the fake smile on Austin's face?

Andrew's finally big enough to sit in his little man chair!

I'm hiding from you!

Andrew is so adventurous and so much more curious than Austin was at this age. He loves getting under the kitchen table and peeking out.

Let's wave!

I'm behind on posting things. Andrew started waving a few weeks ago and has been practicing since. I attempted to capture various stages of the waving.

Now, THIS is an Easter egg!

A week or so ago I brought out our Easter decorations consisting mostly of plastic eggs. Both kids have loved playing with them. I took this picture of Andrew and it's so funny to me. The way he's holding the egg makes it look as big as his head!

10 months old

Andrew's officially 10 months old! He's eating more and more table food these days, but LOVES sweet peas. I swear, he could eat his weight in them. He has tried macaroni and cheese and really enjoys it. He has tried cantaloupe and peaches and isn't too wild about fresh fruit especially cold fruit. Over the weekend, Andrew started refusing the jar food dinners at lunch time and looking longingly at our food.

Andrew's playing peek-a-boo and waving. He's also shaking his head no when we say no.

Peek-a-boo Andrew!

Andrew's really discovered peek-a-boo. He loves to pull stuff over his head and then down again to play.

Hollering "Mama"

Andrew has gotten so vocal since he got his tubes put in. I was expecting this, but WOW. He hollers all the time about everything, I think to hear himself because he can finally hear. He's added "mama" to the mix. Just like with "dada," he hasn't related "mama" to me yet. The teachers said that all day today he was saying mama.

Crabby patties

It's Lent and thus begins the Friday night dinners of fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, and the various vegetables. This morning, I told Austin that we'd be having fish sticks for dinner to which he replied, "Yea!" He then told me he wanted a crabby patty for dinner and explained, "You get a bun, a lettuce, a tomato, a pickle, and a sausage. That's how you make a crabby patty." I tried to explain to him that the "sausage" was actually the crabby patty and I didn't know how to make a crabby patty. He repeated his instructions, ""You get a bun, a lettuce, a tomato, a pickle, and a sausage." Now, I love the fact that he thinks that I can make/cook anything (those of you who really know me know that this is not really the case). But, doesn't it say a lot that he wants to eat an entree that he saw on a cartoon?

Snow? In Alabama? No way!

I went to the grocery store yesterday and the lady bagging my groceries said "Are you stocking up for the snow?" I said "It's not going to snow." And, even going to bed last night, I still didn't believe that it would. It hardly ever snows here and when it does it's not enough to cover the ground much less make a snowball or snowman.

I was so wrong. After Austin yelled up the hall for a drink of water, I got up and looked outside and went into Austin's room. I asked him if he had looked out the window yet. He jumped up, looked out the window, and immediately changed clothes to go outside. This was all before 7:00 a.m. One of our requirements was that we had to have our coffee and eat breakfast first before going outside. Gene took Austin first and I brought Andrew outside mostly to get a picture of him in his first snowfall.
